Meet The Band

 Rhonda and the Renegades (1)

Bill Baziuk –  I have always been interested in music, singing and playing an instrument since childhood. From my first piano lessons @ 4YO taught by my father, till starting the band 6deep a few years ago, I have held the magical energy of music close to my heart. Having experienced a seriously intense career as a firefighter/paramedic in my past, I retired my axe and traded- up for a Fender guitar. I have found the band and our music to be very stimulating, creative, and fun-loving. The band has given me an outlet to express my feelings in a healthy and exciting manner, connecting with people on an entirely different/positive level. I feel blessed to once again belong to a respected, dedicated group of talented individuals that work well together to make something great happen!

Dave Crosby

Rich Lipowitz  –  a Joizey boy.  He grew up in New Jersey, and studied drums with the renowned Glenn Weber of West Orange (a Joe Morrello protégé).  He had a stint as a farming, housebuilding hippie in the late ‘60’s, and was a citizen of the Woodstock Nation at the tender age of 15.  Richard’s first band experience was drumming for “The Upper Left Hand Drawer” with a brother and friends, in high school.  After high school, he left to “live on the land” in upstate New York, building a log cabin/geodesic dome with hand tools (no electricity), and living self-sufficiently with other commune members.  At that time, his musical joy was playing in a hippie jug jam band, using pots and pans and wooden spoon handles for drums.  Richard hit the open road, becoming bi-coastal with many trips to California and back. He left San Francisco to again join his brother’s band, “Northern Lights,” in New Jersey.  The band played original rock and roll from the late ‘70’s to mid ‘80’s.  He became a dad and cashed in his drums for a Banker’s License.  After a few short stints as a swimming pool installer, P.E. Teacher, tennis pro, drum teacher, and owning several businesses . . . a Frame Shop, Health/Massage Center, and a Bagel Shop, he came back to his first love, drums, and played in a number of bands: Kousin Krispy, Live Wires, Black Box are a few of the well known ones.  He is now happy to be part of Rhonda and the Renegades.

Rhonda Mansuetti – Music has always been a part of my life; I sang duets in harmony with my mom at church since before I can remember.  My  family is quite musical, even though only some of them will admit it.  There were piano recitals, talent shows, school choirs and college tours.   I hung my music performance on the shelf for a while, but that was for my best cause (ever) of raising my children…but not to worry, we played a variety of music to hang out with, enjoy or just go crazy (OK, my kids thought I was a little crazy).  Every morning I wake with a song in my head; it’s like a gift I open because I never know what song it will be.  I absolutely love being with The Renegades.  They have helped me regain my confidence in singing and encourage the best in me.  These “boys” are talented musicians and more than that, incredible people.
